Production Assistant

• Manufacture, prepare, and/or wrap products according to specified standards and daily/weekly budgets.
• Accurately price random weight/loose selling items.
• Verify correct pricing, including labels.
• Conduct regular quality assessments and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Remove damaged or expired stock.
• Prevent waste, shrinkage, and damages.
• Monitor temperatures and maintain the cold chain.
• Uphold hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards (floor backup).
• Follow security procedures diligently.
• Operate and clean equipment as per established standards.
• Approach and advise customers regarding products, listen to their requests, provide the necessary products or services, and interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Process all customer orders following the appropriate procedures and service standards.
• Promote products effectively.
• Communicate clearly with employees, management, customers, and suppliers.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Must live near the store
• Capable of manufacturing/producing various meat products, such as sausage and mince
• Must be proficient in English

Note: The incumbent may also be required to perform additional duties as assigned periodically. This role will necessitate flexibility between stores.
