Job Purpose
To provide banking solutions to clients by gaining insights into their business and requirements through effective relationship management, thereby fulfilling Nedbank's strategy to become the most esteemed bank.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide banking solutions tailored to client needs by comprehensively understanding their business and requirements via relationship management.
  • Exhibit knowledge of risk parameters by managing client relationships in accordance with credit principles.
  • Enhance performance by monitoring and analyzing financial reports against established benchmarks.
  • Gain insight into clients' businesses and needs through proactive relationship management in line with portfolio mandates.
  • Foster relationships with internal stakeholders through effective communication and networking based on client requirements.
  • Collaborate with external parties by engaging them as necessary to meet the demands of the solutions provided to clients.
  • Complete responsibilities through effective planning and review against predetermined targets.
  • Manage resources (time, processes, and support teams) to maximize value in line with client expectations.
  • Adhere to risk standards, policies, and procedures through necessary training and development as outlined by the group compliance framework.
  • Conduct research and analysis by applying problem-solving techniques to propose solutions for workplace challenges.
  • Support the achievement of business strategies, objectives, and values by reviewing Nedbank and Business Unit Plans, ensuring that the systems, processes, services, and solutions delivered are aligned.
  • Identify training opportunities and career advancement for oneself through management feedback and input.
  • Ensure the completion of all personal development plan activities within the designated timeframe.
  • Share insights and industry trends with team members and stakeholders during both formal and informal interactions.
  • Secure support for the development of new or improved processes (e.g., operational processes) that will enhance the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by emphasizing the advantages of implementing recommendations.
  • Contribute to a culture that supports the achievement of transformation goals by engaging in Nedbank culture-building initiatives (e.g., staff surveys).
  • Participate and assist in corporate responsibility initiatives to support business strategy (e.g., Green Strategy).
  • Look for opportunities to enhance business processes and systems by identifying and suggesting effective operational improvements that add value to Nedbank.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Preferred Qualification
NQF Level 5 or higher in a Financial or Business-related discipline is essential
FAIS Accreditation Regulatory Examination Level 1.

Minimum Experience Level
2-3 years of experience in Business Acquisition is essential
2-3 years of Relationship Management experience is advantageous
A valid driver's license and reliable personal transport are essential
