Job Purpose
To acquire new clients and broaden the existing customer base for Nedbank, thereby enhancing the Nedbank brand and maximizing revenue in alignment with business goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Foster a culture that supports the attainment of transformation objectives by engaging in Nedbank culture-building activities (e.g., staff surveys, etc.).
- Participate in and endorse corporate social responsibility initiatives to achieve key business strategies.
- Identify and propose enhancements for processes, systems, and policies while supporting the implementation of new procedures and frameworks.
- Adhere to established protocols for account openings by utilizing the checklist and account opening matrix.
- Complete online compliance training and assessments weekly to remain informed on updates.
- Keep the relevant compliance Letter of Authority current and inform clients during each interaction.
- Process daily control reports and attach the appropriate documentation.
- Identify potential clients and assess their needs through a comprehensive needs analysis, offering suitable solutions.
- Cross-sell to current clients by uncovering needs through financial wellness discussions.
- Acquire referrals from existing clients and leads from other Business Units through regional collaboration.
- Ensure all transactions are priced in accordance with Business Unit objectives and strategy.
- Generate revenue by charging for additional services offered to clients.
- Monitor and manage sales performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to achieve monthly targets.
- Increase market share by converting secondary clients into primary clients and ensuring accounts are solidified.
- Engage in end-of-day discussions and implement recommendations from management to optimize sales outcomes.
- Stay informed about legislation and industry changes affecting the role by reviewing relevant newsletters, websites, and participating in sessions.
- Comprehend and embody the Nedbank vision, demonstrating values through interactions with team members and stakeholders.
- Enhance personal capabilities and remain updated on developments in the field by identifying training opportunities and career advancement through manager feedback.
- Ensure personal growth and effectiveness in fulfilling roles and responsibilities by completing all learning activities, practicing gained experience, and obtaining and/or maintaining certifications within designated timeframes.
- Provide accurate information to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing within the team. Uphold world-class service standards by actively listening to clients, addressing their needs, keeping them informed, and ensuring their requests are fulfilled.
- Resolve client complaints and inquiries promptly using the relevant complaints management system.
- Adhere to the "ask once" commitment to clients in line with Nedbank strategy.
- Build client relationships through consistent contact and demonstrating genuine interest in their needs.
- Network with internal stakeholders to collaborate and offer comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Solicit regular feedback from clients by encouraging completion of feedback forms.
- Mitigate risk for Nedbank by identifying and verifying clients either manually or utilizing relevant technologies.
- Comply with the clean desk policy to minimize the risk of exposing client confidentiality.
- Report suspicious transactions to the appropriate department to reduce fraudulent activities.
Minimum Experience Level
1 - 2 years of insurance sales experience within the financial industry.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Essential Certifications
- FAIS Recognized qualification: NQF Level 5
- Regulatory Exams: 5 Class of business for the long-term category
