Accounts Receivable Debtors Administrator (6 Months Fixed Term Contract) - Midrand
Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand has an opening for an Accounts Receivable Debt Administrator to become part of their team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. The debt administrator will be tasked with effectively and accurately managing the debtors’ ledger by proficiently collecting amounts owed to the Group.
Minimum Requirements… Essential: • Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate and/or a relevant Accounting Qualification • A minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in a debt collection setting Advantageous: • Experience in debt collection within a pharmaceutical context
Job Specification… • Initiate and maintain accounts in accordance with standard operating procedures. • Perform precise ITC checks for accounts prior to granting approval. • Receive and assign daily payments from customers to the appropriate accounts. • Report customer complaints and discrepancies to management. • Generate weekly debtors aging analysis reports for management review. • Communicate with customers to ensure that the statements and invoices issued accurately reflect outstanding amounts and secure payment commitments from them. • Keep a record of all correspondence and discussions related to customers. • Update and maintain accurate customer information in the master data. • Prepare and reconcile debtor accounts, addressing any outstanding queries. • Review and manage aging analysis to ensure debt remains under 60 days. • Engage with each customer monthly to collect outstanding debts. • Resolve disputes with customers and ensure that all queries and questions regarding customer accounts are promptly resolved. • Comply with Dis-Chem Policies and Procedures as well as Standard Operating Procedures. • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
